Moving On…

Also with a heavy heart, Health Promotion recently bade farewell to two staff as they left the islands to take up posts on the mainland recently.

SaraSara Aboud, Interim Health Promotion Manager
The department bade a fond farewell to Sara Aboud, who left to take up an adult learning position with Aberdeen Council.  Sara had worked with Health Promotion for 7 years, previously in the role of Senior Health Promotion Officer (Physical Activity & Education), and was a much respected colleague both within NHSWI, Comhairle, local sporting groups and partner agencies.  Although leaving the island, we expect Sara to be a regular holiday-maker, and look forward to seeing her again very soon!

Kenna CampbellKenna MacInnes, Senior Health Promotion Officer
Finally, but not least, It was a sad farewell to Kenna as she left the department to take up the role of Health Improvement Practitioner at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.  Having been employed with Health Promotion since 2012, covering the Isles of the Uists and Barra, Kenna will be fondly missed as the main lead in the planning and promotion of various Uists and Barra community health events, activities and inputs.
