The Western Isles Poverty Group was created out of a desire to tackle poverty in the Western Isles.  The group, which meets on a bi-monthly basis, is made up of a multi-agency team, which will act as a local anti-poverty group working with voluntary and statutory organisations, policy makers and politicians at both local and national level.
