Child Safety Week was held during 23rd-29th June, and aimed to raise awareness of the risks of childhood accidents and how they can be prevented.
This year’s event focused on accidents which are more likely to happen during the morning rush to school, crèche, nurseries and croileagans.
Local clubs, groups, organisations and families were asked to support this year’s campaign and become a “Safety Hero”, and could go online and access a range of resources and ideas for activities/events.
