Smokefree Hebrides was out to spread the word to smokers about the range of services and resources which are locally available to them. Support is crucial to helping smokers on the road to victory and towards a healthier and wealthier smoke-free life.

Smokefree Hebrides had displays and stalls at various locations throughout the Western Isles on No Smoking Day to inspire quitters and send them on the road to victory.

The annual No Smoking Day campaign is run by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and encouraged one million smokers to make a quit attempt last year.

Quitting smoking is the single best thing that smokers can do for their health and Smokefree Hebrides want to arm smokers with information and support that will send them on the road to victory, and encourage smokers to mark No Smoking Day in their diary and join hundreds of thousands of other quitters in attempting to stub out cigarettes for good.

Smokefree Hebrides would like to thank the hospitals across the Western Isles, NHS Western Isles, K.J. Macdonald Pharmacy, Boots Pharmacy, Back Pharmacy, The Cooperative supermarket, GP practices across the Western Isles and Qinetiq for all their help and support in getting the No Smoking Day message across.

No Smoking Day may be over, but Smokefree Hebrides is still here to help you win the battle.  For more information and support to help you quit please contact Smokefree Hebrides, tel. 01851 701623.
