‘Move More’ provides presentation to Hebridean Men’s Cancer Support Group

Evidence from Hebridean Men’s Cancer Support Group Facebook page:

Kirsty Wade came to visit in her new role as Move More instructor last Friday. The post is sponsored by MacMillan and Kirsty was there to advise us all of the merits of exercise in recovering after, and living with, cancer. Exercise does not mean being overly active. It is more about doing a minimum amount each day and ensuring some degree of challenge. Basically make sure your body moves and that all your muscles are activated. Her message reminded me of a book I read many years ago when Mary was diagnosed with cancer, called ‘A Gentle Way with Cancer’ by Brenda Kidman. Kirsty will come back to visit at some time in the future and can offer further instruction on an individual or group basis. We are grateful to Kirsty for coming to talk to us. I don’t think she was expecting quite such a big group with 35 men in attendance.
