In August 2017 funding of £1000 was awarded to the Acres Homeless Unit through the Fas Fallain project.

This funding will be used to initiate a growing project on the plot of green space surrounding the unit, which will provide hands-on therapeutic activity for the residents and staff at the unit, while also providing fresh fruit and vegetables, which can be used to encourage residents to adopt a healthier diet through the provision of ‘healthy eating on a budget’ sessions.
