Health Promotion supports ‘pop-up Positivity Cafe’

NHS Western Isles’ Health Promotion Department supported the recent ‘pop-up Positivity Cafe’ which was held at An Lanntair as part of their ‘Las! / Ignite! Festival’.
The festival was led by young people and aimed at everyone and explored many current local issues, challenges and opportunities with a diverse and exciting programme.

At the pop-up people were encouraged to stop by, have a cuppa, chat and write down what they do to help them feel positive and add their positivity tag to the ‘Positivity Tree’.

More frequently, pop-up Positivity Cafes are appearing across the country as part of mental health charity Breathing Space’s ‘365 Brighter Days’ campaign and many local organisations have been involved in local events including Western Isles Foyer, Catch 23, Penumbra, An Lanntair, NHS Western Isles and University of Highlands & Islands (UHI).
