HIRS: Service Arrangements

HIRS posterPlease note that with effect from Tuesday 5th January, the Health Information & Resources Service (HIRS) has adopted the following daily opening hours:

  • Mondays: Open 2pm-4.30pm
  • Tuesdays-Fridays: Open 10.30am-12.30pm and 2pm-4.30pm.

Wi-Fi Computer Access

Free Wi-Fi public access computers are now available for use at HIRS.  Computers are available only for those sourcing health information or undertaking health projects, and printing paper is not provided.

 

Smoking Cessation Drop-in at Western Isles Hospital

 

Smoking Cessation Drop-in Clinic PosterSmokefree Hebrides continues to provide its weekly Smoking Cessation drop-in service at the Diabetes Centre in the Western Isles Hospital between 10am-12pm.

 

Staff, patients and visitors are welcome to pop along if they are wishing to make a quit attempt and would like to speak to a Smoking Cessation Advisor for specialist advice.

Making an attempt to quit with the support of a specialist smoking cessation service increases your chances of success four times. Continue reading
